More Than 5% Sum to be Allocated to Health Sphere

At the NA regular sitting the RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan delivered a speech on the draft law on the RA State Budget for 2022.

“The health preservation and the provision of necessary medical assistance will also be one of the most important parts of the budget next year,” the Minister noted and added that the sums to be allocated to the health sphere would increase by 5% in the coming year.

The Minister has noticed that though in recent three years the financing of the health sphere has increased by about 35%, and it is considerable, nevertheless it does not express the bar that the Government has set.

In 2022, the Government would design not only increase the control towards the rendering services in the sphere, but also invest new technologies. The financing for rendering medical services to the servicemen, the rescue employees and their families. It was noted that the abovementioned citizens would be able to choose the medical centre, where they would like to be treated or get medical service. The wounded taking part in the 44-day war will also get necessary medical help in the coming year.

As this year, so some part of the sphere allocations will be directed to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the coming year.

During the coming five years, the Government intends to reconstruct, restore or re-equip at least 50 medical institutions. Next year seven medical institutions will be reconstructed or will be repaired.
